1960  Electro-Nucleonics, Inc. (ENI) is created to do research and development in gas centrifuge technology.

1969  ENI introduces its Model K™ ultracentrifuge, and the first centrifugal clinical chemistry blood analyzer, GEMSAEC™. Electro-Nucleonics Laboratories, Inc. (ENLI) is organized to apply our ultracentrifugation technology to biophysical separations.

1972  The privately financed construction of Cell Science Laboratory by ENI is completed.

1976   GEMENI®, the first clinical chemistry analyzer to bring microprocessor-based testing into the hospital, is introduced.

1978   RIAUSURE II®, the automated hepatitis B test, is launched.

1981  FLEXIGEM™ is introduced to offer clinical chemistry testing in the mid to large hospital laboratory. Princeton Biomedix is acquired from Becton Dickinson & Co. Its chemistry reagent manufacturing capability adds strength to ENI's growing position as a fully integrated supplier of medical diagnostics systems.

1982  GEMSTAR™ is introduced as the first profile analyzer for physicians' office testing.

1984  ENI is one of five companies selected by the FDA to develop a blood screening test for AIDS.

1985  ENI is the second company to receive a license to market its screening test for HTLV-III, the AIDS-linked virus.

1989  ENI is acquired by Pharmacia AB of Upsala, Sweden. The company is renamed Pharmacia Diagnostics, Inc.

1991  Pharmacia Diagnostics sells the Clinical Chemistry and Centrifuge business to Alfa Schiapparelli Wassermann. The company is renamed Schiapparelli Biosystems, Inc.

1993  ACE™, a discrete, random access centrifugal clinical chemistry system, is launched. It is the first system of its kind to incorporate CLIA '88 compliant features.

1997  SMART CONSOLE (PC) control system is introduced for KII centrifuge technology.

1998  NExCT™, a clinical chemistry system, is launched. It is designed for lower volume labs as the ideal balance of low cost and high quality.

1999  The SmartConsole control system is introduced for automated process operations incorporating distinctive features such as batch control, data recording, and safety monitoring with KII ultracentrifuge technology.

2000  The Pilot System KII for research scale and pilot plant processes with linear scale capabilities, and SmartSystem KII for large volume production applications are launched. The Genomics program is initiated for value-added healthcare products capitalizing on the global human genome effort.

2001  The company name is changed to Alfa Wassermann, Inc. in conjunction with global alignment of all divisions with the parent company. The headquarters is moved to West Caldwell, New Jersey.

2002   Alfa Wassermann receives the NorthFace Scoreboard AwardSM for customer excellence from the Omega Management Group Corp.

2003   Alfa Wassermann, Inc. receives ISO 9001:2000 Certificate. Alfa Wassermann receives the NorthFace Scoreboard AwardSM for customer excellence from the Omega Management Group Corp for the second consecutive year. The development unit for small scale ultracentrifugation technology is created.

2004   Alfa Wassermann launches the ACE Alera® clinical chemistry system. Alfa Wassermann receives the NorthFace ScoreBoard AwardSM for customer excellence from the Omega Management Group Corp for the third consecutive year.

2005  Alfa Wassermann receives the NorthFace Score Board AwardSM for customer excellence from the Omega Management Group Corp for the fourth consecutive year.

2006  Alfa Wassermann receives the NorthFace Score Board AwardSM for customer excellence from the Omega Management Group Corp for the fifth consecutive year.

2007   Alfa Wassermann receives the NorthFace Score Board AwardSM for customer excellence from the Omega Management Group Corp for the sixth consecutive year. AW Promatix 1000™ BioProcessing System is launched for developing separation and purification protocols directly transferable to production.

2008   The eSeries ultracentrifuges with electric drive, PLC control, and reduced footprint, is launched. The Starlyte™ V, the 5 parameter ISE Analyzer, is introduced for the international market. Alfa Wassermann receives the NorthFace Score Board AwardSM for customer excellence from the Omega Management Group Corp for the seventh consecutive year.

2009   Alfa Wassermann, Inc. receives ISO 9001:2008 Certificate. Alfa Wassermann receives the NorthFace Score Board AwardSM for customer excellence from the Omega Management Group Corp for the eighth consecutive year.

2009   Alfa Wassermann, Inc. receives ISO 9001:2008 Certificate. Alfa Wassermann, Inc. receives ISO 13485:2003 Certification. Alfa Wassermann receives the NorthFace Score Board AwardSM for customer excellence from the Omega Management Group Corp for the eighth consecutive year.

2010   Alfa Wassermann completes the CE Mark process for the ACE and ACE Alera Clinical Chemistry Systems. Alfa Wassermann receives the NorthFace Score Board AwardSM for customer excellence from the Omega Management Group Corp for the ninth consecutive year.

2011   Alfa Wassermann receives the NorthFace Score Board AwardSM for customer excellence from the Omega Management Group Corp for the tenth consecutive year.

2012   Alfa Wassermann launches the ACE Axcel® clinical chemistry system. Alfa Wassermann receives the NorthFace Score Board AwardSM for customer excellence from the Omega Management Group Corp for the eleventh consecutive year.

2013  Alfa Wassermann receives the NorthFace Score Board AwardSM for customer excellence from the Omega Management Group Corp for the twelfth consecutive year.

2014    Alfa Wassermann completes the CE Mark process for the ACE Axcel and Vet Axcel Clinical Chemistry Systems and the ACE Reagents. The Vet Axcel® Chemistry Analyzer is launched to the veterinary market. Alfa Wassermann receives the NorthFace Score Board AwardSM for customer excellence from the Omega Management Group Corp for the thirteenth consecutive year.

2015  Alfa Wassermann releases its first reagents exclusively for the veterinary market.
